At OAKBARREL.SHOP, we use only high-quality, hand-selected white oak sourced from the Northern, Appalachian, and Ozark regions. The majority of our wood comes from within a 30-mile radius of our facility in Jackson, Ohio – a conscious decision to reduce transport distances and support sustainable forestry practices.

After careful selection, the wood is air-dried outdoors for 24 months on our storage grounds. This is followed by a multi-stage, controlled kiln-drying process using our in-house drying systems, ensuring optimal maturity and structural stability of the wood.

Our staves are precisely assembled using CNC machines developed exclusively for us. This unique CNC jointing method creates a particularly tight barrel body that virtually eliminates leakage. This advanced and highly technical process is the foundation of our uncompromising quality standards – for every single barrel.

Our computer-controlled machinery is among the most innovative in the entire barrel-making industry. Modern manufacturing principles, consistent quality control, and the highest safety standards are at the core of everything we do.In addition to classic white oak barrels, we also offer a wide selection of maturation barrels made from various types of oak and other carefully selected wood varieties:
